FUNDS: Become a “house sponsor” and cover material costs for affordable home.

Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County uses a sweat equity homeownership model to build and sell affordable homes to individuals and families. They are currently building 4-5 homes per year in Port Hadlock and Port Townsend and looking to increase that number. Homebuyers must be below 80% AMI and able to qualify for an affordable, low-interest mortgage.

House Sponsors help cover the cost of materials for home construction, in order to keep a mortgage affordable to a new homeowner. Can be done in a single gift or spread over several years. House sponsors are named during the house construction, are able to meet the family, and turn over the keys to the house during the final dedication ceremony.
