Short Story: I moved to Port Townsend in 2021 after recieving a scholarship to study for 9 months at PTSW. After finishing my studies, I decided to stick around this community of craftsman to begin a career in woodworking. As someone without a college degree, I am on a determined path to improve my life by building a career, and leaving behind many years of scraping by on minimum wage. Unfortunately, this pursuit has brought me to one of the most expensive places I have lived. I long to find stable long term housing so I’m able to focus on building a meaningful life in this community.
