Short Story: I’ve been a caretaker on a unique off grid 40 acre property over 10 years near Ruby Beach on the west side of Jefferson County. There we experience 12 feet of rain annually and I would dream of living in the rain shadow. LOL. During the winter months I might go to the Sonoran Desert’s beautiful places with my art supplies. I restore and maintain equipment , tractors, tend to farm animals, remodel barns. I’m on Social Security Disability ( more than adequate to live from when your disciplined )and just awarded a housing voucher. Its only 1,008 to 1,154 a month so I guess we’ll see. Does autism fit in civilization as well as remote regions? I spend my private time quietly in academic and aesthetic pursuits.
