Hello!

A thriving workforce is vital to the character and quality of life that keeps so many of us here in Jefferson County, but our Housing Crisis threatens to erode this community. Housing Solutions Network, with the endorsement of the EDC and Jefferson Community Foundation, has launched a survey to:

  • Directly connect how housing impacts the local economy
  • Fill gaps in housing data
  • Inform government policy
  • Set funding priorities

But to make a difference your input is needed. Please take 5-10 minute to complete the survey and spread the word so HSN can reach at least 3,000 responses and advocate for housing that serves all segments of our population.

How this will be helpful

This survey digs past opinions and anecdotal stories to uncover statistical data that will be helpful in crafting better housing policy, informing housing development, and applying for housing-related funding. It will inform and encourage developing housing that supports a diversity of occupations and incomes throughout our community. The results of this survey will be shared among government decision makers, housing providers, builders and contractors, and the community at large. Specifically we are looking to:

  • quantify the urgency of housing needs,
  • better grasp desired housing types, sizes, locations, amenities, and open spaces as they relate to affordability,
  • connect how housing constraints impact the local economy.

Why this matters to you

Keeping Jefferson County a viable place to live and work benefits us all. It means ensuring there are homes for you, your friends, and your neighbors. That there are homes for those staffing local business, essential services, and valued amenities. That there are homes for a diversity of ages, incomes, and races.

Let’s create housing that serves all segments of our population and supports a vibrant local economy, so our housing crisis doesn’t further erode the community we love.
