Job and Volunteer Opportunities
Housing Solutions Network brings a creative and collaborative approach to increasing housing opportunities for local workers in Jefferson County. Instead of creating housing directly, we increase possibilities to do so through advocacy, education, engagement and networking. Though fiscally sponsored nonprofit through a unique partnership with the Jefferson Community Foundation, we operate autonomously and are supported by a Steering Committee and small staff.
These volunteers take an active role in charting HSN’s course while also lending their expertise and perspectives.
Skills in fundraising, program management and volunteer coordination as well as those solidly integrated into community networks are alway of interest.
Specifically, Steering Committee members are responsible for:
- Strategic Oversight: Defining the mission, vision, and values, and approving strategic plans to achieve long-term goals.
- Executive Leadership Support: Hiring, mentoring, and evaluating the performance of HSN’s Director.
- Financial Stewardship: Reviewing/approving annual budgets and monitoring monthly financial reports
- Organizational Ambassadors: promote HSN through personal and professional networks and help to identify new people, resources and tools to weave into our network
